Location: St. George's School, 372 Purgatory Road, Middletown, Rhode Island. For directions see the Our Locations tab.
Drop off and pick up area will be at the north end of the hockey rink parking lot, just east of the
main entrance to campus (towards Second Beach). Please be sure that your child
checks in and checks out every day with his or her coach.
Please do not park along the main access road to the campus. You
may park in the rink parking lot.
What to Wear: Boys require the full compliment of equipment, which
includes stick, shoulder pads, gloves, arm pads, mouthpiece and helmet. Girls require stick, eye protection (lacrosse
goggles) and mouthpiece.
The boys will receive a reversible mesh jersey which they are
to bring each day. The girls will receive a Quick Stix cotton tank top. Tie-dye
and other craft activities will be offered during lunch throughout the week.
Pack a bathing suit and towel if you are interested in walking down to the beach with the group for a dip at lunchtime.
In the event of rain, we have use of the field house so it is imperative that each camper pack a pair
of sneakers in addition to the cleats. Other Items to bring include lunch,
sunblock, and water bottle. We do not have use of the dining facilities and require that the campers pack a lunch.
The camp store is open each day for the campers to purchase sports drinks and snacks.
Campers may sign up for pizza slices at check-in every morning for lunchtime delivery.
Valuables: Please do not send along any valuables, as
Quick Stix will not be responsible for items lost or stolen. There is a designated area for bags, backpacks and
lunches.
Important: Health and Safety:
Quick Stix will employ a camp trainer during camp hours. It is IMPERATIVE
that we be notified of any specific needs your child may have including but not limited to asthma, allergies or any ailment,
disease or sickness which may require our attention.
If there is a need to contact the camp due to emergency, Chris Bates will have his cell phone on and his
number is 267-258-3678. Please call only in case of emergency, as Chris will
be actively involved in field activities.
One of the Quick Stix traditions for the boys' program is to establish
a nickname for each camper. Some are obvious and some evolve as the week goes
on. We try to make them fun. If your youth has a nickname of choice, please let
us know. For the girls' program, a tradition is the all-camp relay races to finish each day.
Throughout the week we will have visits from special guests including college coaches, pro players and
equipment manufacturers reps with prizes. On Friday, starting at 12:00, the
camp will end with scrimmages in the afternoon that the parents are encouraged to attend.
Remember, camp pick-up on Friday is at 1:00.
Thanks again for choosing Quick Stix! We look forward to seeing you in August!
