Lax for Life
Now Playing: Everything Lax

OK, you've been laxen all your life.  You played and continue to play.  Your kids were introduced to the game by you and one of the most rewarding things in you life is watching them play, excel and love the game you ve 'introduced to their lives.  I have seen this game from the bottom to the top.  I played pro, I coached collegiate, I have helped nurture the growth of the sport throughout Rhode Island.  I have bourne the responsibility of protecting the interest of the Pro Players as the founder and only President of the Professional Lacrosse League Players Association(PLPA).  I continue to assist the pro-players with their Terms and Conditions of employment.  I have spent the last three years working on rasinsg the level of the girls competivieness on the national select team circuit as one of the founders of the Metacomet Select Lacrosse Club.   I guess you could say I am the epitome of the a lacrosss junkie.  I guess it's time to start a blog talking about the subject of the week.

This weeks subject is the formal expansion of the Metacomet Select Program into Massachusetts.  Thanks to Jack Piatelli, te Former Boston Blazer teammate of mine from the early years and current New England Sales Manager for Brine/Warrior, who has brought his expertise and clout to the Comets.  With the new talent pool to pull from, we have high hopes for our area.  The schedule will be posted shorlty for both boys and girls.  With Comets having burst onto the tournamnet circuit two shor years ago and competing with the well established programs in some of the top tournaments this past year we are poised to continue on our push to have our young men and women continue to get recognized as quality athletes and players with a solid foundation of lacrosse fundamentals.  Qualitities that will move more and more of our players into the best colleges in the country.  So that's my life for the moment.  Ramping up the program bringing in the best area coaches and looking for the highest quality people to assist is in running our organization.

As I assist in developing the evolution of our program, I begin to train for my next big chore.  The Florida Classic where I will try to make it through 4 games of old man ball without injury and only three days of suffering. Stay tuned for the next installment.....  I had to start somewhere.

Don't forget to spread the word on the www.quickstixlacrosse.com offerings.  In addition, two other ventures I am affitliated with include www.metacometlacrosse.com for the elite Rising Star and High School age boys and girls and Laxventures (www.laxventuresusa.com).

That's right, I'm busy laxen not relaxen.  See you at X.
